- The act of parrying an enemy will grant one stack of Biding Fury, hitting an enemy with a parry riposte will grant two additional stacks.
- Taking damage will occasionally grant one stack.
- Some Souljades will also grant stacks, see Souljades Alterations.
While charging up horizontal strikes, you can expend two stacks of Biding Fury to block Blue Focus strikes, and follow up with a counterattack.
- Horizontal Block is a specific state granted by Tiger Barrage and Velocity Untold when the wielder has at least 2 stacks of Biding Fury.
- When hit by a Blue Focus attack, the enemy's attack will be interrupted and will get temporarily staggered and the wielder will be temporarily granted Gold Focus.
- Only the first hit will damage the wielder, with a
50%
damage reduction applied.
- The wielder can then choose to release a counterattack by pressing the horizontal attack button or the vertical attack button:
