Some tournaments may use the hero points system to promote team composition diversification, especially in Duos and Trios.
For a 6-game tournament the maximum hero points is 15
. When the points are exceeded, current ongoing game will be nullified as a 0 point game.
After the first time a hero is used, each time a hero is used will cost one more point. The total accumulation must not exceed the maximum set amount.
You can use the Hero Points Calculator to easily calculate and see if your team compositions are eligible.
Times hero used | Point cost |
---|---|
1 | 0 |
2 | 1 |
3 | 2 |
4 | 3 |
5 | 4 |
6 | 5 |
Game | Hero 1 | Hero 2 | Hero 3 | Points cost | Total points |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Game 1 | Tianhai | Kurumi | Yueshan | 0 | 0 |
Game 2 | Tianhai | Kurumi | Yueshan | 1+1+1 -> 3 | 3 |
Game 3 | Tianhai | Kurumi | Yueshan | 2+2+2 -> 6 | 9 |
Game 4 | Tianhai | Temulch | Ziping Yin | 3+0+0 -> 3 | 12 |
Game 5 | Viper Ning | Yoto Hime | Wuchen | 0+0+0 -> 0 | 12 |
Game 6 | Viper Ning | Yoto Hime | Wuchen | 1+1+1 -> 3 | 15 |
In this case, the 6th game reaches the maximum amount of points allowed: no games will be nullified.
Game | Hero 1 | Hero 2 | Hero 3 | Points cost | Total points |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Game 1 | Tianhai | Kurumi | Yueshan | 0 | 0 |
Game 2 | Tianhai | Kurumi | Yueshan | 1+1+1 -> 3 | 3 |
Game 3 | Tianhai | Kurumi | Yueshan | 2+2+2 -> 6 | 9 |
Game 4 | Tianhai | Temulch | Ziping Yin | 3+0+0 -> 3 | 12 |
Game 5 | Viper Ning | Yoto Hime | Wuchen | 0+0+0 -> 0 | 12 |
Game 6 | Tianhai | Takeda | Ziping Yin | 4+0+1 -> 5 | 17 |
